Frequency Specific Microcurrent

Frequency Specific Microcurrent, or FSM, was developed by Dr. Carolyn McMakin. It involves the application of very gentle electric current, micro amperes, to the human body. Current is channeled using warm, damp towels and clips hooked up to battery-powered machines. The electricity is applied in pairs of frequencies, one pair which uses a frequency to achieve a certain effect and a second frequency to determine what tissue is to be effected. This is a particularly effective tool for talking to the central nervous system (CNS), the brain and spinal cord, in order to help relieve pain that is centrally mediated (i.e., no longer coming only from the peripheral nervous system.) Other nervous system conditions such as anxiety, insomnia, panic attacks, and general stress may be good applications for FSM.
